1. Great debate about the systems in place, which is something that the show wants you to do which showcases how effective the show is in illustrating it’s ideas.

2. I’m not sure you know the way the system fully works? Tbh I’m not confident they explain it too well in the anime bc it assumes you already know how the japanese school system works! There is only ONE class E, in the third year, which is the FINAL year. Students would go through two years in classes A to D and if they don’t perform well they get sent to class E for their last year; students can only be transfered to another class at the beginning of the year, so they have no more chances to climb back to “better” classes, regardless of their rankings! Karma did not get transfered mid-year, he got transfered at the beginning just like the others, but he was suspended for his violence so he started a couple of weeks later than the rest of the class did!

   1. Yep, this was left out of the anime adaptation, the manga explains it a lot better.

The system is efficient in producing the most successful students in the highest % its just a hierarchy thing that you guys have a problem with, which they exist in the real world anyway with even more people failing so if certain % is gonna fail anyway why not elevate all the rest while at it so at least there is some benefit to the rest and the society as a whole is the idea.
