One thing I’ve found interesting about this show is every time they say can you picture X outcome my response has always been “YES, I can.” It really seems like the people in this world have no imagination at times, or at least they’ve never been in or seen a children’s playground fight because that’s all the magic in this world is. “I can control the rain.” “Oh yeah well I can evaporate all the rain.”

   Asking someone can you picture X outcome in a world where your magic is limited only by your imagination, just seems like a psychological trap to mess with people and make them second guess themselves. I mean the only reason that defensive spell is great at blocking magic, but not physical attacks is because that’s what people are taught. All you’d need to do to make the spell good at blocking both magic and physical attacks is change people’s perception of the spell, or create a new spell that looks identical, but blocks both

   The only real issue of concern is what determines the outcome of a sword that cuts through anything, vs an unbreakable shield that cannot be cut by anything. If both mages can picture and fully believe in their magic’s effectiveness who wins
