“Do you think anyone back on Earth would believe this?”
Aaron goes on explaining how silly the entire thing is.
BOY HOWDY, episode 27.
Why don’t they realize animals evolve to, so they are spiral being as well. They keep talking about Boots not being able to create spiral power.
I have never ever ever eveeerr cried at any movie or tv show, but Gurren Lagann fucking gets me
I still cant get the Patreon account verification to work. Tried all fixes and nothing helps. Anyone have any further suggestions?
Works now, not sure why. Oh well!
With the fakeKamina, I never thought it was that the spirals were unable to replicate him, I always thought it was more that they wanted to use his image to beat Simon down. Like if his big bro is a sniveling coward then maybe he’ll give up on beating the anti-spirals and live out his days in unreality.
I’ve never seen the multidimensional scenarios as specifically “designed” by the anti-spirals… The labyrinth itself is a conduit constructed by the anti-spiral, but I see the dreamscapes as wholly invented by whomever is experiencing them, either individuals or, in a number of cases, shared consciousnesses. So the “fake Kamina” is a construct of Simon’s insecurities and regrets—a “what if” outcome had he and Bro maybe aimed a bit lower. Same with Viral’s dream of married bliss and genetic legacy—the idea itself is born of Viral’s own desires, which I think weighs heavier than if the anti-spiral were just engineering each scenario. The dreams subsist on “longing.”
Likewise, the way I interpret everybody’s escape from the labyrinth isn’t due to some newly manifested Kamina interloping and walking in on everybody’s delusions—it’s that Kamina never /stopped/ existing in the first place, living on as a piece of everyone’s (at least specifically Simon and Yoko’s) souls. So in an abstract way, it definitely IS Kamina busting them out of dream prison, but it’s also /because/ they each found it (read: Kamina’s spark) within themselves to understand their newfound complacency was all phony confinement, thus allowing them to break themselves free.
To me that’s a stronger chord than simply “all the dead guys just sought out the team’s collective subconscious in an effort to snap them out of it.”
Ok is anyone else not able to actually watch it? I hit allow access for my Patreon stuff and then it just loops me back to the allow access page
Viral’s Dream with the Knowledge that Beastman can’t have children is always hitting me hard emotionally. And How easily he leaves it behind after realizing it was fake.
