3. The great thing about this fight… is that up until this point, Choji really WAS nothing more than a joke in this show. It feels almost like the writers plucked a character out of a hat and were like, “You know what? We’re gonna make this one AWESOME.”
   And he’s still kind of overlooked, going forward. At least until waaaaay down the line in Shippuden, but he’s got one of my favorite little character stories of the whole group.

5. Don’t you wish Hinata were part of this rescue team? Luckily there is a filler arc that focuses on her, which also ties into the Sasuke rescue plan!1!! The Bikochu Beetle arc. Don’t miss it. Ask Rana from the Normies if it’s worth it.
