1. I legit can’t believe we have Cad Bane & Luke & Ahsoka

2. I think the deputy was in that scene to give Cobb an excuse to lose the gunfight. After all he distracted him at a crucial moment (Cobb was clearly concerned for him and lost focus). This allows the writers to have Cad Bane both win the fight and yet keep Cobb Vance a worthy hero by making his loss not his fault. Also having 2 targets allowed them to have Cobb survive by only being shot once.

3. I don’t think Cad Bane likes the Empire. He wouldn’t work for them nor Boba Fett I predict because of the line he said to Kobb; “Boba Fett worked for the Empire”! or something like that. he said it a bit salty like he he didn’t like the empire nor Fett.

4. i do think Grogu will eventually pick both, taking what luke taught him about seeking balance and applying it to this choice
   though I don’t think he will make that version of the choice right now
