1. Question for you Rick, from someone who’s watching it again for the 14th time. After seeing Eko’s death at the “hands” of the smoke monster, do you have any hypothesis as to why the monster would scan someone during its first encounter, then murder/attempt murder for its second encounter? Locke gets scanned and then gets dragged around the 2nd time coming back from the black rock with dynamite. Almost gets pulled down into a hole and is then saved by jack and Kate. Why is it only scanning Locke and Eko so far?
