1. I’d say Blind Ivan is more likely to be the one who wanted to forget ‘a life of regret’. The woodpecker-marrying guy is probably ‘society’s views’. It seems like Ivan’s whole identity was tied into the Society of the Blind Eye, almost like he’d forgotten his entire life outside of SBE. He’s also the only character we haven’t seen before this episode.

2. The blind eye symbol is the image that can be seen when you put together the images of Dipper’s Guide to the Unexplained together. Have you guys started trying to put together the season 2 image? You can get clues there as well…

7. The mug, pen and notepad that Stan loses into the portal come out of a portal that Rick makes in Rick and Morty Season 1 Episode 10 Close Rick-Counters of the Rick Kind.

   You should go back and look for it.

8. Great episode! The creator, Alex Hirsch, actually leaked a fake photo of McGucket as the author prior to the release of this episode. It got the whole fanbase buzzing and was wonderful to witness.

9. Not only is this one of my favorite episodes of the entire show because of the reveals, it’s also one of my favorites because of the character development of McGucket. At the beginning of the show we all thought he was this crazy comic relief character, but it turns out he’s one of the biggest pieces to the puzzle that is Gravity Falls!

10. I admit, part of me enjoys watching you guys try to solve and discuss the mysteries more than watching the actual show. We’re coming on up one of my favorite episodes in a couple of weeks and I am so hyped for it. Also, what McGucket says isn’t gibberish. He actually says, “YROO XRKSVI! GIRZMTOV!”
