   Damnit Eric, what do you not understand? Xeno does wanna work with other scientists that would agree to the smart ones ruling the world. But senku refused and he knows would never agree to it, hence why he aimed to kill senku. It has nothing to do with wanting to be the only scientist it’s a disagreement on the fundamental level of ideals. If he just lets senku go and do his thing it would conflict with his goal. Also why senku is trying so hard to petrify his enemies, he doesn’t want to kill but he has to get rid of them somehow if he wants to accomplish his goal. Two opposing views, one is willing to kill to achieve theirs (xeno) the other is willing to gamble and bet the entire planet through petrification (senku). Xeno doesn’t actually want senku dead it’s the only option he sees because senku won’t agree with his methods. It’s not complicated.

   Also senku by now is like 19-20. He was 15 at minimum in highschool when it started but guessing a bit older. 1 year for making revival fluid, then a year making the kingdom of science, around another year before making a ship, then sailing a few times and spending a few months here and there. It’s been 4-5 years maybe more since he woke up from the stone.

2. The cracks are pieces of themselves that are still stone, when they get stoned again and revived the cracks disappear. They paint back on the cracks to match with senku who didn’t get fully stoned back on the island. That is the canonical answer to the cracks. I think at some point its just for esthetics and makes little sense for some characters. 😆
