An evil scientist with a stoned body and an AI conscious would’ve been awesome, but I think this episode did a great job at answering all the questions we’ve compiled throughout the show regarding the Medusas. The reveal to me seemed a little lack luster with the information dump, but it HAS been right under our noses the whole time.

   For the question asked: I was surprised, but I’m not smart, and it’s anime. Anything could happen, could be some super evil scientist or some kid who has a notebook that can kill people. To be fair though, I had already watched a lot of anime so I was expecting anything really. I am satisfied with the reveal.

4. I was ok with alien technology being the reveal of the mystery. It was a good explanation but I had always theorized that the original petrofication beam was caused by Sinku sending up his model rocket with the record of his video recording that he said the diameter of the earth in a flashback and that was picked up by a satellite that triggered technology someone had been working on in Brazil with it being the origin point of the beam.
