1. Yeah, I didn’t really like this version of Bumi. He’s too cynical and almost sadistic. Originally, he’s supposed to be the one teaching Aang something, but here of course the Avatar has to be the one with the answers, so he teaches Bumi something.

   1. Well it is a much more realistic version of Bumi. His friend the all-powerful Avatar who was supposed to protect them disappeared. He was forced to make hard decisions he didn’t want to make and lived through a century of war. That shit changes people. So while I can see why people didn’t like the change I personally think it was a fine change. At his core he was still goofy and cracking jokes as well as a great Earthbender. They just made him more realistic and jaded by a century of war.

   2. I mean Bumi is teaching aang a lesson. He’s teaching aang that he’s not going to be able to save everyone. That he’s going to have to make hard choices.

2. Man, they really had to go and put that little instrumental section from ‘Leaves From the Vine’ in there… absolutely no chance I wasn’t getting hit in the feels from that

5. So far I think the show is alright. I feel like the show is missing some of the goofiness and lovable moments of Aang. Katara feels like she mad fast getting really good at water bending, but also the water bending effects look really dumb sometimes, haha. Like it looks like she just splash the guy, it’s hard to explain, like there’s no impact? Sokka is perfect, so is Iroh. I know you guys say this show needs to be grounded, but Eric said it differently when watching OPLA. You really can’t have it both ways, especially if it’s an adaptation. I love some changes and extra stuff they added, but then some other that makes me questionable, but we’ll see where it goes.
