3. no. kevin absorbed energy, rick is right. he touched a generator and video game console and absorbed the energy. same thing he did with the watch. he didnt/doesnt. SPECIFICALLY absorb dna, he isnt an animorph. he absorbed the ENERGY of the omnitrix. they specifically said this in the og series

   2. despite him being kind of an ass about it, he kinda has a point. I rarely see them criticize Star Wars media as much as they do other shows and movies they watch. Marvel they criticize a bit but i think more so Star Wars is the one they’re a bit bias for.

      1. Not shocking, considering they’re die hard Star Wars fans. They’re the kind of people at all the cashgrab movies, half baked series, and weak ass spinoffs are made for. They got their start on Youtube as Star Wars fan film creators, if I’m not mistaken. That’s like wondering why Pokemon fanboys voraciously gobble up every shitty generation, one after the other.

7. the way I see Kevin’s power is that he can only absorb the equivalent amount to what he’s touching. so he doesn’t consume the object, but he can only take the same amount

8. Sometimes I do wish they would just tell calvin he is wrong. Not in a negative way of putting him down or something but 25% of this video is a discussion about something they remember and have written notes for.
   Kevin used absorb electricity and manipulate energy, they altered it between series into what it is now. Similarly they altered Gwen’s spells etc into the Green(pink) Lantern magic.

I mean, one of the biggest complains about the series in general is the amount of retcon about Kevin’s powers (he had about 3 retcons during the series), and there is a huge gap of difference between changing a color of magic and changing the ideia of a power (which they just saw the reason of Gwen’s power)

      if you are just watching the Cartoon without searching for knowledge outside, kinda hard to keep up with

   3. You only know this because A. you watched the series before, and B. you have the benefit of hindsight. They don’t. This is their first watch through. They’re still gripping with the same questions you asked yourself once upon a time. Be wary of presentisms.

      1. I am not saying “I know this is right and he is wrong”. It’s that Rick and Aaron have it written in notes and know that he is wrong. It’s not a confusion about the powers, they present them differently in this show compared to the last.
         The discussion was entirely about what Kevin was shown doing with his powers in the OG series.

         I am fully aware they do not have the outside knowledge. My comment was specifically about 25% of the video being them trying to convince calvin on something they do know about and have notes for.
         Often I ignore it since they don’t want to search through different books etc but Aaron found it instantly.
