1. I think Ratko just called himself the best not that he was definitively, I highly doubt he could stand against Striga, Carmilla, Alucard, Dracula, or even Trevor when he is fresh.

2. finally getting to the juicy bits! dracula returns! (hopefully)

3. Last season they were literally doing the same thing with the symbols, attempting to open the infinite corridor using souls as fuel, so they could bring back Dracula from hell.
