1. Storey That’s actually not true, on the IASIP podcast they’ve outright said that there was no rhyme or reason for the Pepe Sylvia thing, the Pennsylvania theory is something the fans came up with after it aired. They did say they wish they had thought of it though, cause it’s great.

2. The whole psych ward segment was a reference to the movie “One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest” that Danny Devito was in.

3. Fun fact, Charlie freaking out about there being no Pepe Sylvia is because of his illiteracy. He is actually reading Pennsylvania which is why no one is getting their mail
