Blind Wave loves to have fun, and our goal on this site first and foremost is to bring the fun of the crew to the community. To do that, we cannot allow rude or inconsiderate people to interrupt or impair the experience of others. We ask that you be sure to follow the rules so that we can all have a good time and enjoy the company of the community which Blind Wave has cultivated.
1. Be considerate of others. There is no harm or problem in debating a topic, but falling into name calling, spamming, or any sort of rude or abusive behavior simply because you disagree with someone will result in appropriate repercussions.
1.1 Using the Blind Wave forums to publicly ridicule members of communities from other reaction channels is not allowed. There is a lot of overlap in communities, and users from those servers fall into rule 1 of personal attacks or abusive behaviour being prohibited against them.
2. No spoilers, unless you are in the appropriate topic for the subject you wish to talk about. The Blind Wave crew posts reactions and reviews to many shows, films, games, etc on their Youtube and Twitch, and try very hard to avoid spoilers for those subjects, and many of their viewers do the same. Spoilers being posted in inappropriate topics will be dealt with accordingly. Spoilers are considered as any known or speculated information on current or upcoming content.
2.1 Unofficial leaks (of any type; tv, movie, game or otherwise) are not allowed, regardless of whether you’re in the appropriate spoiler channel or not.
2.2 Official casting news, next episodes previews, or anything that reveals details about currently unaired content should be spoiler tagged and properly labeled.
2.3 Any manga, comic or novel content beyond what’s been covered in a series’ respective TV/Movie adaptation must be posted in the most appropriate manga/comic/novel channel. That said, manga/comic/novel content that has been covered (fully or partially) in the TV/Movie adaptation may be posted in those channels in spoiler tags for the purposes of clarification or comparison. Moderators reserve the right to delete any content deemed to be contributing to a negative atmosphere, at their discretion.
3. Channel content. When posting in any chat topic on the site, ensure that it is appropriate for that specific topic. In addition, sexually explicit content and content with excessive gore is not allowed in any topic. If it belongs in an NC-17 rated film or an M-rated video game, it does not belong on the site. Lastly, images depicting yourself or others in only underwear may be removed at a moderators discretion, though images that depict outdoor wear such as swimsuits are exempt from that rule.
4. Slurs and derogatory language will not be tolerated, including allusions to those words used to skirt around the rule by not saying a word specifically. This is an environment for everyone to have fun, feel safe, and enjoy their time – use of such language or attempts at finding loopholes around punishment for clear insinuation of that language will result in appropriate repercussions. We understand that different societal backgrounds and upbringings result in different language being seen by different people in different ways, so we ask that if a moderator requests you to stop using certain words or phrasings, that you acknowledge the request. Clear attempts to ignore or push back against such a request will result in a ban. Examples of such language are racial and homophobic slurs which are obviously not allowed, but also ableist slurs like “retard”. Also don’t use words like “gay” in a derogatory manner. This rule applies to internet slang/other languages/emojis that are created with the intent of expressing those types of insults. We hope that most of these will be common sense not to use.
5. Impersonation, wrongful slander, or defamation of members of this site will result in a ban. Additionally, the spreading of malicious rumors or lies about actors, those involved in a show, or anyone – even if it is just a joke, and particularly if there is intent to trick people into believing those rumors are true – is behavior that will not be tolerated and will also result in appropriate punishment.
