Calvin got it, Gus immediately didn’t want the first guy because he had no issues talking to “opposition” about other private jobs he did, what’s stopping him from bragging about and underground lab he had constructed, while he may not have known the location, if he gave descriptions of Mike or other of Gus’s men that he might have met then people, such as the Twin’s, could narrow it down.
In a way this is the most important episode for Jimmy’s arc. His choice here – to run from his therapy, to run from his pain – put him on the direct path of continuing to hide more and more and eventually become Saul, and then become Gene (who is hiding from Saul’s choices).
