1. Because it’s not stated and its been so long you likely did not catch the small hint of the golden necklace he has worn in every scene he has been in since the beginning – Kaigaku (the demon Zenitsu fights) is the same orphan that led the demon to Gyomei’s orphanage. The kids there found out he had been stealing or something and kicked him out- they did not discuss it with Gyomei he had no idea he was not inside the temple that night- and Kaigaku crossed paths with a demon who he bargained for his life by offering up the other orphans and Gyomei. He ran away that night and came across gramps and you know the rest. He probably never knew Gyomei survived and vice versa.

2. While the English dub or this one is decent, there are a couple of changes I really wish they hadn’t made. For instance, Rengoku Sr’s dialogue in the sub implies that he thinks Kyojiro is the one who has established the family as notable and says “I will live up to the Rengoku name”. Also, I don’t see why they had to make Water Breathing’s 3rd form “Flowing Dance” instead of the original “Striking Tide”.

3. Knew I should have watched this when they released it – now it’s blocked and my dinner watchalong is ruined…

   Edit: 18:55 love it whenever Eric and Calvin bring up the bruce saying. Eric loves saying it so much, that Calvin started saying it too. Haha!
