1. About media showin simultaneous plots:

In Brazil, we had a notorious case unfolded in 2002 involving a young woman from a wealthy family, Suzane von Richthofen (19). She conspired with her boyfriend, Daniel Cravinhos (21), and his older brother, Christian, to murder her parents, who disapproved of her relationship. Their plan was to stage the crime as an armed robbery. Suzane had even turned off the mansion’s alarms beforehand and unlocked the door for the Cravinhos brothers, who then brutally attacked her parents with metal bars.

The police quickly grew suspicious of their story, and a week later, all three confessed to the crime. The trial, however, didn’t take place until 2006. By then, Suzane’s lawyers had advised her to portray herself as an innocent, childlike victim and to shift all the blame onto her boyfriend. The statements from the three defendants were highly contradictory and changed multiple times throughout the proceedings. Suzane claimed she had no prior knowledge of the murder plot, while the Cravinhos brothers insisted it was entirely her idea.

In 2021 we had the release of two films: The Girl Who Killed Her Parents and The Boy Who Killed My Parents. Both films featured the same actors and director, with each movie presenting a version of the story based on one side’s statement during the trial.
