Maybe you take them not laughing at every single joke too seriously yeah? Maybe not every joke lands the same way, it’s really not that big of a deal. Most people consider season 1 weaker than later seasons, so it’s not like it’s only these guys that feel that way

I think that the reason a lot of the darker and crazier jokes don’t land as well in the first season is that the writers hadn’t really figured the show out yet. They really dive further into the insanity in later seasons, but it’s less cringe and more funny because the show takes itself less seriously and doesn’t try to stay grounded. I think of it kind of in the same way as The Office. Michael was SO cringe and unlikeable in the first season, but they change his character a bit and in S2 his cringe is really funny.
Aaron and Calvin are cringing way too much I feel. Do they not like humor from touchy subjects? Cmon guys laugh a little.

honestly were you expecting any different? most of the stuff they react to is anime…
I mean, so what they dont find it funny. They aren’t gonna laugh at jokes that dont do anything for them. What would be the point in that? Them fake laughing just for a reaction?
we (the audience) are the voice of reason. the show isnt missing anything for me except more artemis and more dennis shenanigans which we will get in other seasons so its ok if they are not the focus in this season
