1. Since the voice said they were preparing for war and his dad said there was something coming and most of their forces would end up against them maybe these demons or all monsters had the same happen in their world and these are the survivors of the ones that were turned against them. Although I also assumed the system was against whatever it is but if whatever is controlling them is a true enemy and not the system why not censor everything why let the player have small bits of information.

2. The gurren lagann reference in the english dub during the fight is great.
