1. This is one of the best kids’ movies ever. Glad to see you check it out but so surprised you haven’t seen it before! It’s such a classic fairy tale, like Grimm’s tales which were scary too. i used to love this sort of story as a child instead of some of the other cartoons which were so bland and unchallenging. This movie is beautiful and strange.

   The patrons and staff are all based on old Japanese folk tales of spirits and artwork.

6. Why, hello, childhood, I didn’t expect to run into you today. 🙂 This really made my day. I can’t tell you how great it was to rewatch Spirited Away as an adult and have it succeed in living up to the nostalgia.

7. Lin is a kitsune, they’re powerful fox spirits that transform into beautiful women. It would make sense that since Yubaba wants power & to make money, she’d hire someone like that. The other women might also be kitsune, or some other kind of yokai capable of transforming.

9. As much as I love the studio ghibli films I really hope they don’t react to anymore. I enjoy most reactions they do but watching these in an english dub in just painful. Also spirited away hands down better than every disney movie ever made!
