I fear it could be something sad, because if you rematch the finale from season 3 you can see that Jane is pregnant during the wedding at Stonehenge, there could be a chance that they lost the baby and have not been feeling great since. Or it could be about Jane being a Brummie (Two ButtHole Person) of which i understand them not being together and i back coach beard all the way
In my head cannon, these would be your positions
Eric would be a Defender, He’s a bit more bulky and defenders are bulky and bigger but composed so they can control and keep the ball in posession, protect it, they cannot be pushed that easily and can take on strikers. Also they are a bit more lading roles or have more leadership.
Calvin would be either a striker or a Goalkeeper, Those positions normally require people to be tall, fast and quick thinkers, to have fast reactions in order to adapt any situation, wither to score a goal, or to save from a goal and I think Calvin can adapt to those.
Aaron would be a defensive midfielder. He can retrieve the ball easily and try to control the team so he or another could create chances, with his prediction powers he can see the chances, where the ball can go or where the players will be. A through pass from Aaron to go from defense to attack would be killer.
Jake would be a goalie and Rick would be a right back.
Also, this make me wanna see you play a footbal game someday, not like professional or in a field but anywhere.
One of the biggest advantages from football and also the reason why is so famous is that you can play it literally anywhere and don’t need much, in basketbal you need a hoop and something that bounces. In football, just need sth to create the goal and an spherical object to kick. With my friends we used to take 2 rocks or 2 sticks to form the goal and we gathered plastics bags from our lunches, put it all tight in a bigger plastic bag and tie up with the bag with a rubber band and start playing. We literally played on the streets.
