this….is certainly a choice that was made
So the thing about Slade is the network sensors said they couldn’t have a villain named death stroke and so to get around that they just used his real name Slade. This worked if you didn’t know that Slade wasn’t an alias. But once you know that Slade is just his real name, it leads to some serious scenes becoming ironically funny
The H doesn’t stand for Hype, it stands for Hive, you guys probably couldn’t hear it that well.
They weren’t wrong, they’re from H.A.E.Y.P (H.I.V.E Academy for Extraordinary Young People), which is a division of H.I.V.E (Hierarchy of International Vengeance and Extermination). Yeah, it’s kind of confusing having an acronym within an acronym and the subtitles didn’t help since they mixed it up a few times. I’m pretty sure in future episodes they drop the H.A.E.Y.P thing and always just call them H.I.V.E.
Somebody’s maaaaaad lol
I don’t mind the comparisons, it’s just that Teen Titans is so much better than what the live action show was trying to do. Also reminder, audio for the show is really low.
Young justice is a better show, but I’ve got nostalgia for Teen Titans. Also, I really really hate saying this, because it’s cute and its clear a lot of effort went into it, but don’t make us sit through 5 seasons of that mega cringy intro lmao.
Okay I am SO confused. So you watched 5×10 first, then you watched 1×2, and then you watched 1×1? WHYY
If that’s not what happened, why are you describing 1×2 at the beginning of this episode as if it was the episode before this, if this is the first episode and you guys only watched 5×10 before this?
Did you accidentally put the wrong opening on your video or something?
I AM SO CONFUSED. Lol.
The guys are saying it looks like a bird…but no one specified that it’s a raven. Are the guys not putting the two together? lmao
I don’t mind the comparisons at all. If anything, it’s cathartic picking out what Titans failed at vs what Teen Titans succeeds.
Additionally, it’s just nice to watch a lighthearted superhero show again compared to all the grim, dark, and violent hero shows you guys have watched in the past. It’s like a breath of fresh air. X3
Lol not to mention it’s natural to compare one interpretation of the characters of a comic to another interpretation. These Titans are some of my favorite versions of these characters across all of media, despite the fact that I happen to think Young Justice was a better show. I would love THESE Titans in the Young Justice Teen-Young Adult style of writing. This show is more the Kids-Teens age group.(or Young Adult-Adult in the case of the last season of YJ)
If you haven’t been informed yet, it’s because it’s in ‘chronological order” as it were in terms of how the Teen Titans met up, vs just throwing them into the fray like Episode 1 does, then work backwards. It’s like how some people watch Clone Wars episodes out of order, but in Chronological order.
5×10 is technically the ‘first one’ because it’s when they all met.
