What do you think the fate of Alicent Hightower will be on this mission?

  1. You guys were a bit unfair to Hugh. He’s one of the purest guys in the show, and he’s tried to get his family to a better place. The wife’s trauma is clear and fair, but he has been through it, and she has been his goal the whole time.

    1. Becoming a dragonrider can change a person and bring out more of who they were, Hugh has become a lot more prideful though you can still see a good man underneath trying to be honourable.

  2. Alicent has been dragged around and forced to follow orders from so many people, including her father, husband, children and Rhaenyra. Regardless of if she lives or dies, I hope that she takes a stand and makes her own decisions in the end, showing that a character such as Alicent, who has been trapped by her gender and her station, can finally take her fate into her own hands.

  3. Criston Cole did what he did not because he thought as the greatest soldier in the realm he could defeat 200-1. He did it because he’s been suicidal ever since the Battle at Rook’s Rest last season, and has been wanting to go out in a blaze of glory ever since, in a fight of his own choosing rather than for some pampered lordling. Something that he was denied in the end. He wanted to die in an epic fight, likely in swordplay against multiple warriors at once. Something that would immortalise him in songs… Instead he’s unceremoniously shot with arrows from a distance. There’s a line from the books that didn’t make it into the show: “I’ll have no songs about how brave you died, Kingmaker. There’s tens of thousands dead on your account.”

    1. Thanks! At least someone understands human nature, or was at least watching the previous episodes instead of just hating and not listening.
He wanted to die, and he did hold their advance with guerrilla tactics.

    2. Criston has been suicidal since the first season, he asked Alicent to kill him for sleeping with Rhaenyra and then tried to kill himself after her wedding.

  4. Ok I did the poll and picked the “read the book” option which I have and still do, but the Show has taken a very different path to what the book did, so I do not know what the outcome will be, so I will have to make guess and I will say it will be of similar fate to the book so for that to happen I will go with “she will live through it” as my pick for the show.

    1. So youre just posting spoilers?

“I read the book but the shows a bit different but I think itll be like the book so ill still say the answer”

  5. I think she’ll live and I also hated Rhaenrya’s decision to send her. Most likely she backs out and comes up with a plan with Aemond to retaliate. The slim chance she does what she’s told to do, she’s forcing a mother to kill her own son. It’s Joffrey level sadistic and cowardly.
