Who do you side with?

  1. Fun fact: The place Matt and Karen meet after being attacked at Josie’s is the Indian restaurant they had their first date in during season 2 of the Netflix show!

  2. Just like in the real world, we want the system to prove it works so we know people can’t get away with anything. But also like in real life we’re seeing that fail so it does get to a point where if someone just kills Fisk/Trump it’s good enough and doesn’t matter that it wasn’t the system that finally brought them down.

  3. I’m with Matt. As soon as they start determining who they think should live or die, then that makes them no better than team Fisk. Don’t get me wrong, I like Punisher, but ending someone’s existence isn’t the answer, especially since the AVTF and stuff are mostly ignorant people who think they are “just doing their job”. They aren’t mass murderers or r*pists, so I stick with Matt’s hope of redemption and justice rather than execution.

  4. Karen. We have proof from these first 3 episodes that the justice system isn’t functioning at all. Time to change tactics, let’s call Frank.

  5. I’ve watched 2/3 of America vote for fascism or just not care. Then I’ve watched the other third do 3 no kings protests in a year and a half of fascism whilst people are raped in camps by prison guards and people are shot in the street. And they think this is resistance. I have zero hope for Americans because unless they’re queer or non white their life is too cosy to sacrifice the bare minimum to help their neighbours. Actually child raping nazis are throwing people in camps and you guys won’t even do a general strike. Americans don’t deserve to be saved when they won’t save their fellow Americans

    1. Seems real easy to say, don’t it? But if you care so much, surely you could come here and do something yourself, right? Clearly you take this as a moral position instead of it being someone else’s problem, so you should be trying to fix it too.

Also, this same shit has happened time and again throughout all of history. When people are being hurt, and the ones doing it hold a gun to everyone else, it’s easier than it should be for the world to just keep turning. People are not emotionally capable of dealing with a problem both massive in scope and heavily removed from them. Not even mentioning how hard it is to create a strong enough community to make a difference when only 1/4 of the people are truly even aware of any of it.

Not to mention how it wasn’t even 1/4 that voted for fascism, and half didn’t vote, possibly because we were told to support a genocide defender simply by the metric of “hey she’s better than him, right?”

  6. The “crazy/sad” part? They wrote this season before the real life parallels happened. This season was written before Trump even got elected, and filmed feb-may so before ICE started taking people off the streets and taking them to unknown locations with no due process where lawyers and family members cant find them.
    anyways im on karens side…

  7. Its not like Matt is Bruce Wayne he doesn’t have the resources to change people’s minds completely to undermine an entire system. Even Batman doesn’t do enough to actually change Gotham or Arkham Asylum he just stops the bad guys and hopes the proffessionals in the mental health field can handle it, and killing em won’t fully solve things cause there’s always gonna be someone worse to take over so there’s really no winning, yea if Fisk dies that solves the current issue but leaves room for someone or something worse later on weather its years or months later.

  8. Karen. Things have gotten so bad that it’s time to tear down the system and start again. If it’s that easy to corrupt, it shouldn’t be the system that’s in place. I’m a little sick of matt being so naive but of course he is as a lawyer.

    1. Considering all that Matt has seen and done, it is very insulting to call him naive. Just because someone believes in a better way does not mean they are ignorant of the other way of things.
