2. Hoshina is the Levi of this universe, and both are Captains 😉

   Classification Breakdown

   – Kaiju: The general Japanese term for giant monsters, meaning “strange beast” or “giant strange beast”.
   – Yoju (Residual Beasts): Lower-level kaiju, often appearing in groups or as minions, with lower fortitude levels (e.g., 1-5).
   – Honju (Main Beasts): Stronger, more dangerous kaiju (fortitude 5+) that can generate smaller Yoju.
   – Daikaiju (Large Monsters): Extremely powerful kaiju, typically with fortitude levels above 8, posing immense threats to humanity.
   – Numbered Kaiju: The rarest and most dangerous Daikaiju, given specific numbers (like Kaiju No. 8) by the Defense Force due to their unique abilities and extreme power, often exceeding fortitude 9.0.

3. So it seems like Honju are the main Kaiju that appears (IE: biggest fortitude) and the Yonju are the “secondary” Kaiju that swarm around the strong one. According to one source from the manga I read. But I could be wrong, happens often.
