1. With everyone who says the lantern. That’s what Hal’s pocket dimension was used for in the beginning and “Lanterns” gotta have some lantern stuff so I’m assuming it’s gonna be John using it to recharge the ring.

2. Could literally be just about anything. I’m hoping for something to bring Hal back.

3. So I have three theories.

   The first is that Noah is a manhunter but it is his mum who killed Hal (to protect Noah) which is why Hal didn’t resist at all.

   My second theory is that in the vault is a lantern for John to use.

   My third theory is that Hal will be alive by the end of the season. Either because he isn’t dead now or Noah bringing him back somehow I don’t know. This theory is partly based on hope and partly due to the show being called lanterns rather than green lanterns suggesting multiple corps. Plus Sinestro stuff and introducing Carol this episode would be so odd without Hal being in future seasons.

   Also if Hal does return do you think all three will have their own rings by end of season?

5. Will never understand why people watch mid season trailers. If there is a half year gap like walking dead used to do then fair enough, but it’s literally a week for every episode. The normies even did a reaction to it which I thought was a bit pathetic and completely ruins their reactions to future episodes in my opinion.

6. Maybe the safe contains a device that can track Manhunters, that will lead to Noah? Or maybe a lightsaber or smthn idk.

7. I think the lantern, at least *A* lantern, is in the vault. But what I WANT to be in the vault is the ORIGINAL Green Lantern, Alan Scott. Because I will take ANY POSSIBILITY of getting him to appear in SOMETHING!

8. I wonder if he was still there because he was still “investigating”. I think Kari is so good that there is something nefarious going on with her. He may have notes in the vault about what he was still observing in rushville. I know we all think Noah is a manhunter too and he may be but Kari would know that and be protecting him. I also think the actual lantern is in there to recharge the ring.

9. My guess is it’s a man-sized alian 3d printer where Hal copied his body and shot it in the head to fake his death. Which tracks with Hal warning Jordan not to tell anybody he was with him because he knew the copy will have a broken nose and the cops will suspect John for the murder. What’s the motive for it? Well, my guess is when Hal heard that Sinestro broke out, he faked his death because he has something Sinestro wants, something he took from him when he took him down..

10. My kneejerk theory is that the lantern is in the vault, but my wild theory is that it’s Hal himself in there, and that the buried body is a decoy.

    Hal really seemed like he knew something bad was going to happen and we all know his gut is never wrong. So what did he have planned? I think being away from the ring and the succession situation probably improved his planning abilities for this case.

11. Nearly tin hat level of idea. What if there is the original Hal in the box and the one that was killed was a copy of some sort? Hal did it so he could be under the radar to track down or get Sinestro back in prison maybe?

13. I wonder if the ring charging lantern is in there. That way the ring can be used past the 5% it had left. But I bet it will take him a while to sneak around to get there again so the there’s suspense before he gets it charged

18. What if…Sinestro himself is hiding out inside the vault? Like he is laying low and perhaps Hal helped him.

19. All I know is that the vault seems to be a larger version of the pocket dimension box Hal stored the lantern in at home even having to need a voice command like this one. Though the one at his house was able to be unlocked from Hal’s voice on a call while this one didn’t work with a message from Kerry’s phone so maybe it’s more advanced and something dangerous is inside?

20. I bet its a Lantern, just not the green kind. Sinestro I think. He’s been broken out, and if there is a clone happening, the vault is different in the storage, and seems to be intentionally bigger than it was at Hals’ Mansion, like having to hide a person inside?

    Maybe its the Lantern for the Ring, Maybe its the 2011 Green Lantern film to hide it from the world… Maybe its the answer we are all searching for… how many butts BATMAN, WHAT IF ITS BATMAN, THE CASTING REVEAL OF BATMAN
