1. I think Eric is rightfully untrusting but it is leading him to throw away proven things. He said “They said they’d give us a nuclear bomb but I don’t know if thats true”. We know thats true they gave her a grenade and heroin which is equally unsafe, they gave Diabete Air Force One. We’ve been shown they can’t lie because instead of lying about information they withheld it to the point Carol had to get truth serum so Zhosia would speak without inhibitions and stop withholding. They don’t lie they tell the truth or stay quiet, but mistrusting them which I don’t blame has gone to the point of “I won’t accept what the show has given me, I need more proof”. Its interesting for sure the reactions we each get from the show because if we don’t get more proof in the future is it a confirmation they were lying or do the writers and directors of the show believe they’ve shown enough?

2. I watched this with my niece and I very much sounded like Eric after each episode and she like Calvin and Aaron and was increasingly exasperated by the things I was getting hung up on. But we had a great deal of fun discussing this world and what things meant and what the experience of living in this world would be like. It’s funny to hear these discussions again from outside. (making this comment more specifically about the we/they/it and consent discussions)

1. Definitely, this is also scratching the itch left by the Good Place reactions

2. Yeah I actually love Calvin and Aaron having this perspective because it’s basically exactly my own and I don’t see it that often in reactions. But I do respect what Eric sees and why he feels the way he does.
   I also love that this show almost makes you pick a side early on, but then challenges your assumptions throughout the show no matter which side you’re on.
