1. Some trivia:
   – James was voiced by Ted Lewis until Episode 8; he got recast in Episode 9, which is where we get the James voice we’re used to.
   – On the wall at the Pokémon Center, the engravings are of Arcanine, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. Ash misidentifies the Ho-Oh he saw in the previous episode as Articuno. While Arcanine is not a legendary Pokémon, it was likely shown due to Arcanine being listed in the Gen 1 Pokedex as a “Legendary Pokémon” (much like how Pikachu is a listed as a “Mouse Pokémon”).
   – In the English dub , Oak says that his pizza just arrived, while in the original Japanese version, Oak says that his ramen is overcooking.

2. I was in my 20s when Pokemon came out and would watch it Saturday mornings. It’s so interesting to me because it’s been around so long that long time fans may not have seen the original show.
