1. The “Who’s That Pokémon” has been there since episode 1, but yes, because it’s meant for commercial breaks it’s been removed on the Netflix versions of the episodes. Which is a shame cause it’s a staple of the original series. At least it’s still there on the home video release.

2. Maddie Blaustein, who would take over as the iconic voice for Meowth in the 4Kids dub in a few episodes, voiced Seymour in this episode. That’s why Seymour sounds like Meowth to us. RIP Maddie Blaustein.

   On a lighter note: Ash mentions the Macarena in this 4Kids dub, which is interesting cause that means the song exists in the English dub timeline. One thing I like about the Indigo League series is that it embraced the fact that it was set in the 1990s, even in the original Japanese version. Of course, as Ash “doesn’t really age” future episodes would update the technology but they refrained from making any pop culture references to keep the series “timeless”.
