1. My biggest complaint about this episode is with how they depicted Alvida and her actress. Obviously, you guys probably haven’t kept up with things around the production of this show, but one thing that was really cool was the actress Ilia Isorelýs Paulino, who plays Alvida, put in a ton of work to lose a lot of weight so she could match the character’s visual transformation. She looks really good. So it was a bit disappointing that her costuming in this episode sort of hides weight loss. I’ve seen so many people react to this episode (like 10+) and not a single person noticed that she actually slimmed down.

2. He did mention on introduction that he was inspired by watching Luffy’s declaration in Loguetown. Suppose Oda just felt he deserved a little more now that he’s a defined character.

And if it was supposed to be “very recognizable” so it got narrow down even more since we already know all the main casting for next season…
