1. Well, personally I kinda prefer it when not everything is explicitly explained or confirmed all the time. Inferring our own truths and conclusions (in a similar way the characters do like Misato knowing 99% for sure that Kaji died without having to tell us whether or not she had actual “confirmation” – she may well have offscreen judging from the change in her demeanour) makes watching a show like this so much more engaging and fun, but maybe that’s just my preference lol
   Also, after so many years of getting lost in trying to decipher the technical details which may or may not have been just total nonsense, I’ve come to accept the fact that Evangelion is probably best enjoyed as a human drama, while the mysteries and fights etc are just embellishment on the side. Whether or not any of that makes sense by the end really doesn’t matter, at least from Anno’s POV lol Having gone through some degree of trauma and struggles in life definitely helps with the emotional immersion and resonance with the characters as I definitely have friends who’ve had relatively “normal” childhoods having trouble relating to (or at least empathizing with) what Anno’s trying to portray on screen.
   Anyway, we’re almost at the end!! Hope you guys will be doing End of Evangelion as well 🙂
